5 Tips for Feeling Confident During Your Bubble Bath Session

You’ve seen photos on Pinterest , and you think to yourself, “This looks like so much fun!” So you book a couples session with your favorite photographer, and you start planning. But part of the way through the planning process you start to second guess yourself. You begin thinking, “What if we look stupid?” or “what if we get too nervous?”

Let’s be honest, sometimes getting close and intimate in front of the camera can be overwhelming and definitely nerve racking, especially if you’re doing a couples session in the bathtub. But don’t worry! I’m sharing five of my best tips for feeling calm, confident, and collected during your bubble bath couples session.

  1. Play music during your session - Jump on Spotify  or Pandora and create a playlist with your favorite songs that leave you feeling sexy and confident. Playing music during your session will also give you something to do. When you aren’t sure how to pose, just dance or sway to the music.

  2. Lots of bubbles - Adding lots of bubbles can help add a little more coverage if you don’t feel as comfortable with showing a lot of skin. They’re also fun and give you something to play with during your session!

  3. Wear cute lingerie - If you or your partner aren’t comfortable being naked in front of the camera, that’s okay. Instead, try wearing some cute lingerie. Covering the most intimate parts of your body can help you feel more comfortable in front of your photographer and the camera. This shop has some beautiful floral and lacy pieces that will leave you feeling sexy and stunning.

  4. Party of three  - The more people there are, the more eyes there are on you, and the more awkward or self-conscious you’ll feel. So keep things intimate by making sure there are only three people (you, your partner, and your photographer) in the room during your session.

  5. Add props - Adding something to do during your session can really help when there are natural pauses. Pop a bottle of champagne or sip on a glass of your favorite wine. Read a book of poetry to your partner. Order a pizza or make some chocolate covered strawberries to eat towards the end of your session as a celebratory job well done. Get creative with your props!
