Romantic Engagement Session in Madison, Wisconsin | Hanah & Colin

Hanah and Colin reached out to me in November of 2021 hoping I was available for their wedding date that seemed to be quickly approaching. Hanah explained that they had gone with a different photographer originally, but after meeting with this other photographer, they didn’t feel that it was the right fit for them. Then they came upon my Instagram and fell in love with my work!

Once they reached out, we set up a Discovery Call right away to chat about their vision for their wedding day and make sure I answered all of their questions. I knew right away that we would work great together!

After they booked, we set up a date, time, and location for  their engagement session. After a little discussion, they decided to make a weekend of it and drive down to Madison, Wisconsin for a weekend getaway!

When the day for their engagement session finally arrived, we decided to start at Tenney Park. Our first location was over on the beach of Lake Mendota. We walked along the beach for a bit, taking in the beautiful view. 

After a little fun by the lake, we crossed the street and walked over to the bridge for a few more photos. There was a race going on, so we had to dodge the runners as we finished up at our first location. Thankfully everyone who was racing and watching the race was nice and didn't mind us being in the way. Once we were done at Tenney Park, we headed to our final location - the Wisconsin State Capitol!

The Wisconsin State Capitol was busy when we got there. We walked around for a while looking for a place that was quieter and had less people. We stopped on the west side for some photos in the beautiful doorways. Then moved a little further over to an area with tall columns. There Hanah and Colin cozied up on the steps of The Capitol for a few last photos!

Everything about this engagement session was fun, playful, and easy going! Hanah and Colin were absolutely adorable and clearly in love! I had a wonderful time getting to know these two even more and documenting their time together as they prepared for their wedding day!
