Outdoor Garden Wedding in Milton, Wisconsin | Nataleigh & Dwayne

I took Dwayne and Nataleigh’s engagement photos back in 2019 when I was just starting my photography business. They had originally planned to have a destination wedding in Mexico with their closest family and friends. BUT then 2020 happened, and they had to change their plans. Instead, they decided to keep their wedding close to home and celebrate with a few more of their family and friends.

The day of their wedding was beautiful! The sun was shining in an ocean blue sky. Except for a quick, little shower between the ceremony and reception, the day was perfect!

Nataleigh, her sister, and her mom all got ready together in the library area of The Gathering Place. Nataleigh’s mom was so sweet, tearing up as she watched her daughter get her makeup done. Just before she was ready to get into her dress, Nataleigh stepped away from everyone to read a love letter Dwayne had written to her.

Once Nataleigh was all dressed and ready to go, she did a first look with her father. They shared a few special minutes together smiling and laughing before it was time to walk her down the aisle.

Meanwhile, Dwayne and his best man were getting ready downstairs in the pool room, shooting a little pool to kill a little time. Dwayne also stepped away for a few minutes before the ceremony to read the love letter Nataleigh had written to him. As he read it, I could just see the love and excitement grow on his face.

The ceremony was lovely. As Dwayne watched his beautiful bride walk down the aisle towards him, he began to tear up. It was such a sweet moment. Nataleigh and Dwayne decided to do a sand ceremony, pouring two different colored sands together into a frame to represent their two lives coming together to become one.

The reception went off without a hitch. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. When it came time for speeches, both Nataleigh’s sister and Dwayne’s best man spoke from the heart, sharing why they loved each of them and how happy they were for them to have found each other.

After dinner was over, Nataleigh, Dwayne, and I stepped away from everyone else for sunset photos. It was the perfect time for them to talk and share how they were feeling about the day so far.

Once the three of us got back to the reception, it was time for dances! Dwayne and Nataleigh shared a first dance, followed by Nataleigh and her father. Since Dwayne didn’t have family at their wedding, Nataleigh’s mom stepped in for a beautiful, emotional mother-son dance.

After that it was time to PARTY!!!
