Winter Elopement at Devil’s Lake State Park

When I posted I wanted to do an elopement styled shoot at Devil’s Lake State Park, Kendra reached out right away. She and her new hubby, Ryan, were down to hike around in the snow, slush, and cold. Thankfully, the day we decided on turned out to be a beautiful, sunny, and warm day!

We started out on the frozen lake. Kendra and Ryan were bubbly and easy going as I directed them. Later we moved to one of the trails that follows the edge of the lake. We encountered lots of hiker, each one congratulating Kendra and Ryan on their marriage. We ended the shoot under the pier for some quiet, alone time, away from all the other hikers.

Kendra and Ryan were so fun to work with! They were willing to go anywhere and do anything. They were so sweet and natural in front of the camera which made it super easy to get creative!
